About Dr. Fumiko Hoeft
Dr. Hoeft is a physician, neuroscientist, and Campus Dean/CAO at UConn Waterbury. A global leader in dyslexia, resilience, and neurodiversity research, she has authored 200+ publications and delivered 300+ talks—including TEDx and the White House. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, NPR, CNN, and more.
She co-founded the Haskins Global Literacy Hub and is committed to expanding inclusive education and strengthening community partnerships in Waterbury and beyond.
